If you buy a cheap tire that is only rated up to 80 miles per hour then you better make sure you are driving a Yugo so you don’t go over that speed. An S rated tire is rated up to 112 mph and will probably be fine for most vehicles on the road today. Obviously if you drive a Corvette then you might want to get a higher rated tire. Not only will it be rated for a higher speed it will also perform better in extreme handling conditions.

When buying a cheap tire you have to educate yourself by doing some research and find out exactly what you need for your car. Don’t just buy the first tire that comes along at a cheap price you may find that you have to replace the tire after only a few months.
