Just when you thought that you’re going to have a baby girl, you did your best to provide her with everything you can to welcome her into this world. Pinks in the nursery can be used in an infinite number of ways which project the essence of being a girl.

Often times you can create a theme by just selecting one color and building on that with varying shades, darker and lighter, resulting in a visually interesting child’s room. Nostalgic mothers may want to recreate the nurseries of their childhoods, which were often predominantly pink. Their imaginations race, filled with images of cotton candy pastel shades that move into raspberry and deep burgundy, letting the deepest hues be for the curtains, having many different colors for pillows and accents, and light airy shades for the real crib bedding.

But if you really don’t love pink enough to have it fill the nursery, you can certainly find many other ways to go. Pink crib bedding is versatile enough to match with a variety of wallpapers, paints, rugs, and room fabrics, making it a favorite among parents. And there are so many ways to add an individual whimsical touch to the room, all you need to do is put in some round pink piglets, long necked elegant flamingos, or cute pink elephants (in tutus?).

As you begin your online search, don’t let cost be your first concern; these days a majority of manufacturers will sell matching bedding ensembles that will let you decorate easily and affordably. Parents should exercise caution when shopping for bedding to be sure that it meets or exceeds all current standards for safety.

A primarily pink nursery is so versatile that parents can change the nursery prints or patterns many times as their daughter grows. After all these years, your little girl is still the favorite and you should think pink for her.

Don’t be overwhelmed, but check out all the exciting and different choices that are available. You’ll be entranced by offerings of bedding that features Barbie, accessories from the Hello Kitty line, and decals of the Pink Panther. Most every new parent would agree that while shopping for clothing and room accessories is fun, the most fun thing to shop for is crib sets for girls.
