The quickest lawn mower in the world is the Dixie Chopper Xtreme which has a 990cc engine and us able to travel at a speed of 15 miles per hour when cutting your lawn. It is even capable of mowing a whole football pitch in less than 10 minutes, cutting 8.7 acres worth of grass each hour.

Data compiled in America shows that every year sees around two million purchases of lawn mowers. The trend for sit on lawnmowers has grown greatly recently.

The Dixie Chopper Xtreme is designed by Art Evans, the former race car driver and engine builder. He decided to build it after he began selling mowers and felt that he could provide something much better to customers. The market for fast lawn mowers has boomed in America in particular recently.

The Xtreme mow is extremely fast and can mow lawns of all sizes. It can literally handle anything that it is faced with.

The 990cc engine means that you will have as much power as you require whenever you need it. The power is high yet the mower is economical and has the benefits of using a gas cooled engine. The engine has a silent exhaust that meets noise level requirements so noise pollution should not be an issue either.

The Dixie chopper is practically a vehicle in its own rights, some sit on mowers even have indicators like a car due to their power and size.

The speeds that sit on mowers are able to reach are not as high as regular cars though, there is no chance of breaking any speeding laws on one of these. They should perhaps come with a careless driving warning though as they can be relatively hard to control for beginners. It is wise to keep pets and small children away from them and make sure your lawn is free from any debris before you begin.

careless driving can cause accidents. If you are caught speeding you will face a fine, penalty points and sometimes a ban.
